We believe that extra-curricular activities greatly enhance the school experience of our students and bring a lot of benefit to the students. Not only does it give our students a positive outlet for their energy, they also benefit from opportunities to learn in ways that may not be an option by simply concentrating on academics. Of course, our school activities also give our students a chance to enjoy their school life and make lasting memories for a lifetime!
Parents’ Forum Webinar
The Parents’ Forum Webinar, entitled “The Key to Your Child’s Success” was held on 26th September 2020. This webinar was conducted by the school as a platform to interact with students’ parents by Ms Stephanie Tan and Mdm Anne Mathews. The discussion centered on how parents and teachers can work together for the success of the children. About 33 parents participated in this webinar on Microsoft Teams. The webinar was successfully conducted and parents were satisfied as they were able to clarify their concerns.
The National Quiz
The American Mathematics Olympiad (AMSO), Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) and Malaysia International Mathematics Arithmetic for Schools (MIMAS) were conducted from August to September 2020. The American Mathematics Olympiad (AMSO), Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) and Malaysia International Mathematics Arithmetic for Schools (MIMAS) were conducted from 27th August to 3rd September 2020. The ultimate goal of these competitions is to identify the potential students and to arouse their interest in Mathematics by engaging them in international challenges. For MIMAS results, 4 students obtained Distinctions - Rachel Lim, Melissa Wong, Gan Joe Ren, and Lim Zi Yee - whilst Bu Jia Wei obtained a credit in the quiz.
Virtual Storytelling Competition
Students, aged 11-12 years old, from primary schools around Klang Valley occupied their free time during a MCO in a productive way by storytelling.
Back to School 2021
The Form 5 students resumed their school session on 24th June after the Covid-19 lockdown. Setting up a thermal scanner, observing social distancing, wearing masks, eating in the classroom and frequent sanitization were some of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) followed. As the rest of the students from Form1-4 returned to school on 15th July, the new norm forced us to adapt to the new changes. However, with the support and cooperation of the teachers and the students, we managed to implement the rules smoothly.
Language Week 2021
We inspire our students by getting them involved in Language Week to raise their awareness of the benefits of multi languages and highlight the linguistic diversity in our community.
Patriotic Day Celebration, (16th August - 10th September 2021)
Merdeka Day is upon us. Let’s express our patriotism and solidarity amongst our teachers and students on this national day of celebration.
